Growing Pains.

When I first walked into the school I overheard people saying
“Oh my god is that a school?”
“It looks so small.”
“Do you not see the sign that says “Constitution High School?” “
Pause; All I thought about was the schools on the movies, with the long hallways and the many classrooms, not to mention the football fields or the gym. The big beautiful gym! Now play look around at our school. You may question yourself …
Do we have enough space left? How many freshmen were accepted? Are the classrooms shrinking? Now fast-forward, where are the upcoming classes going to spend their year?
In the hallway? Oh I hope not.
The school population is growing, but is the school “shrinking?” Many people here at school hold strong opinions on this topic?
Such as present concerns, future concerns, and what could be changed to help decrease this problem. No matter what we all have to remember this school is still going to grow.
I’ve heard many people conversing about the present concerns of the size of our school.“Did you see the size of the 11th graders class?” Sophmore Nataly Ortiz stated.
As more and more students begin to attend Constitution High-School the class size beings to rise.
Some people here at school think that there could possibly be changes to help decrease this problem. Sophmore Christelle Chery thinks that we could use uneccesary rooms for different things. She states “The nurse has three different rooms, why?” That question will most likely remain un-answered. Sophmore Khalia Thompson thinks that we could use the dual enrollment program. But is everybody qualified?
Students were a little upset at the fact that we don’t have any room to fit more classes. Sophmore Christelle Chery states that she wishes we could have music class. On the other hand people are pulling their hair out at the fact that we are going to have even more freshmen accepted for the class of 2013. “Where are we going to fit them?” Sophmore Ciara Bishop stated. If only we could rewind and look for a bigger building.
